The National and International President of Akhil Bhartiya Vyapar Mahasabha (ABVM), Sanjay Agarwal, has said that ABVM can bring in at least Rs 15,000 crore of investments to Goa in the next 3 years with the support of the State Government.
Agarwal is also national general secretary of Samajwadi Party. He, however, insisted that Samajwadi Party has nothing to do with the plans of bringing investments to the state.
Speaking to reporters, Agarwal said, “If we get the support of the State Government, ABVM will make efforts to bring at least Rs 15,000 crore of investments to Goa in the next 3 years.”
Agarwal continued, “We need at least 500 acres of land. We have investors, who are waiting. We will give proposal to the government that we will build a film-city here, we can also get industries to Goa if we get land and get GST free zone for 25-30 years. If government supports us with land, we can have an entertainment zone here. But, for that, we need at least 500 acres of land.”
He further said that he was also trying to meet Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister, Vijai Sardesai.
